Stout Memorial UMC Preschool Mission
The Stout Memorial UMC Preschool mission is to have your child grow and learn is a caring environment in the context of Christian love.
Curriculum
Our curriculum is age appropriate and allows for individual needs and interests. A sensory-motor readiness skills program is used to help coordinate muscles and senses.
Classes
2 Year Old Class
Registration Form
Emphasizes socialization skills, sharing, language, color recognition, activity and movement. Activities include music, puzzles, blocks and opportunities for listening and discussing simple stories. Your child must be 2 by September 1st of the current school year.
3 Year Old Class
Curriculum for this class emphasizes socialization, language, numbers, color recognition, activity and movement. Activities include dramatic play, music, puzzles and blocks, opportunities to listen and discuss simple stories and some special events and trips. Your child must be 3 by September 1st of the current school year.
4 Year Old Class
Emphasizes small motor activities like scissors and lacing. Alphabets and creative writing are also intriduced. There is also a greater variety of experiences, like special events and trips. Your child must be 4 by September 1st of the current school year.
All classes offer Christmas and end-of-year programs for the parents and loved ones. This is an excellent opportunity to see how the children have grown!
Schedule
The school year is September through May for all classes. A calendar of vacation days, similar to the Wood County Schools’ calendar is provide to the parents at the beginning of the school year.
