Sunday Worship

 8:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.

 

  • For our hearing impaired friends, hearing assistance devices are available.
  • For our visually impaired friends, large print bulletins are available.  Please see an usher for assistance.
  • Children are welcome in our services.  Childcare is available for those under 3 years old, in the nursery, located in the Education Wing.

  • Children’s Church (a Bible based worship and teaching experience) is available for 3 year olds through 2nd grade, following Children’s Moments.

 

Prayer Room

 You are welcome to spend time in the church’s Prayer Room anytime the church is open.  Located in the Education Wing, this room is a special place to pray, listen to music or read a daily devotion.   Anyone interested in using this room may do so.

Adult Classes

 

Seekers 

Our class meets in the Parlor.  We are a group of adult Christians 40+ with a desire to grow as Christians by finding ways to apply the scriptures to everyday life.  We always have lively discussions.  We plan social activities and support the service or mission projects going on at Stout Memorial.  We also support the Boys & Girls Club of Parkersburg.  Our teacher is Tom Woods.

 

Upper Room

We meet in the Education Wing.  Our class combines mature men and women, single and married.  Each Sunday we study and discuss Adult Bible Studies from the International Lesson Series.  We enjoy social activities and engage in service projects.  we support the Parkersburg Urban Ministries.  Our teacher is Dottie Bibbee.

 

New Heights

We meet in the upstairs classroom over the Chapel.  Our class emphasizes fellowship, sharing and caring for one another.  We are couples who support and learn from each other in raising our children.  We study a diverse range of topics.  We support PACH (Parkersburg Area Coalition for the Homeless).  Class members take turns teaching.

 

Working Class

Our class meets in the downstairs Fellowship Hall.  We are composed of adults of all ages, married and single.  We study books of a variety of interests, connecting the books with scripture.  We plan service and fellowship activities and support Old Man Rivers Mission.  Our teacher is Bob Mathews.

 

The Followers

We meet in the downstairs classroom under the chancel area.  Our class includes adults of every age, single and married, united by the desire to continually seek God’s plan for our lives through studying and discussing God’s word.  We incorporate service and fellowship events into our group and we support Old Man Rivers Mission.  Our teacher is Andrew Colvin.

 

Youth Classes

 

Junior and Senior Youth

We meet in the Youth Room – upstairs in the Family Life Center.

 

Children’s Classes

Newborn – 2 years

We meet in the Nursery in the Education Wing.  Angel Fouty and Kassandra Rexroad take care of us.
 

Preschool

We meet in the Preschool room in the Education Wing.  Jeff & Christie Stewart are our teachers.

 

Kindergarten

We meet in the Kindergarten room in the Education Wing.  Jan Reed is our teacher.

 

1st, 2nd, & 3rd Grade

We meet in the 1st, 2nd & 3rd grade room in the Education Wing.  Angie Board and Kim Mommessin are our teachers.

 

4th & 5th Grade

We meet in the 4th-5th grade room in the Education Wing.   JoAnn Farley is our teacher.
