Dear Family and Friends of Stout Memorial,
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our fundraising campaign, “Raising the Roof: Restoring Our Sacred Shelter.” Our beloved church’s Family Life Center and parsonage have been enduring the elements for many years, and it’s time to come together as a community to replace their worn-out roofs. As a symbol of unity, strength, and renewal, this campaign aims not only to protect our facilities but also to fortify the spiritual home we cherish.
The Cause:
Our mission here at Stout Memorial is to help ALL people find Hope, Healing, and Wholeness in Jesus Christ. The Family Life Center is an essential element of our church, serving as a vital space for worship, fellowship, and community outreach. The Family Life center fulfills this mission through shared worship and fellowship, coming together for shared meals and activities, and is available to the community to be used for special events and sports activities. The parsonage is an integral piece of our ministry as it has housed our pastors and their families, who or the spiritual leaders of our church and guide us in fulfilling our mission. Over time, their roofs have sustained significant damage from weather, age, and wear. This has led to leaks, and an overall deterioration that compromises the safety and comfort of these spaces. By joining hands in this campaign, we can ensure the longevity of our facilities, enabling us to continue our mission of providing a welcoming and safe environment for all.
The Goal:
Our fundraising target is set at $75,000, which will cover the cost of replacing both the Family Life Center and parsonage roofs with high-quality, durable materials. Additionally, any funds raised beyond our goal will be allocated towards enhancing other crucial areas of our church’s infrastructure and outreach efforts.
How You Can Help:
We firmly believe that every contribution counts, and there are various ways you can support the “Raising the Roof” campaign:
- Donate Generously: Whether it’s a one-time gift or a recurring donation, your financial support will make a significant impact on reaching our goal.
- Spread the Word: Share our campaign with family, friends, and colleagues through social media, email, and word of mouth. The more people we reach, the closer we get to our target.
- Organize Fundraising Events: Host community events, bake sales, car washes, or any creative initiative to raise funds for the cause. These activities can not only raise money but also strengthen our sense of community.
- Volunteer: Offer your time and skills to assist with organizing events, campaign management, or any other tasks that require extra hands.
- The Impact: By contributing to “Raising the Roof: Restoring Our Sacred Shelter,” you are not just repairing physical structures; you are preserving the heart of our church and community. The Family Life Center and parsonage are spaces where lives have been transformed, friendships have blossomed, and families have found solace. Your support will help us maintain these sacred spaces, allowing us to continue our ministry and outreach to those in need.
Donation Information:
Donating is simple and secure. Visit our dedicated campaign webpage at www.stoutmemorial.org/raisetheroof to make a donation online. Alternatively, you can also contribute in person during our Sunday services or drop off your gift at the church office during regular business hours.
Together, We Can Raise the Roof and Renew Our Mission!

Testimonies
Below you will find testimonies from our church members and friends in the community. Our facilities here at Stout Memorial have been a gathering place for everyone in our community and district of the United Methodist Church. People have come here for generations to fellowship, worship, and sit around a shared table for meals. Our mission here at Stout Memorial is to help ALL people find Hope, healing, and Wholeness through Jesus Christ. And we need your help to continue that mission. By submitting your testimonies or making a pledge, you can help us to continue our mission.

The International Order of The King’s Daughters and Sons is an interdenominational organization which transforms lives through service. Our local chapter donates to a wide variety of local projects such as FaithLink, House to Home, Habitat for Humanity, Circles and so many more. How do we have funds to do this? We have an annual indoor sale in the Family Life Center [at Stout Memorial]. Hundreds of people have been able to shop for “treasures” to become their own! The Family Life Center offers us a safe environment in which to have our annual sale. We send best wishes on the upcoming campaign to “Raise the Roof”.

Our organization, FaithLink, has an Advisory Committee that meets once a month at Stout Memorial. Without this central location to host our meetings we wouldn’t be able to plan fundraisers, successfully bless the Care Receivers in our community and continue our mission. We are very thankful for the use of Stout Memorial’s facility and hope that they can raise the funds needed!!
